the Woodward Pups

It needs to be said, but any one who follows me on Facebook or Instagram already knows: we brought home another golden!

Meet Rosie.

AKA Rosie Posie. AKA RoRo. AKA Princess. AKA the little bitch.

Also AKA Leo. Her and Ginger-Cat are roughly the same size and color which is surprisingly confusing.

She definitely redder than Boone andb nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngy

Sorry, that was Rosie saying hi to the keyboard.

As I was saying, she is definitely redder than Boone and probably not pure Golden. Not that goldens can't be red...We got her from a rescue and while they thought she was purebred there is no proof; she's got a few tells that make me think she's got a little bit of country in her rock 'n roll. Anyway, she looks enough like a golden pup to fool other golden parents and pretty much everyone we meet.

As for Boone, he's taken to role of big brother swimmingly. They are so in love. Rosie follows him everywhere and wants to do everything he does. He's even become protective of her when Atticus gets a bit too paws-y.

She's been a champion with housebreaking and learning to walk on a leash. She is a bit older than Boone was when we brought her home (11 weeks vs. 8 weeks), but he wasn't at this level at her age. The biggest difference between her and her big brother Boone is that she has quite the voice. When Boone was her age, I don't think we had ever heard him bark. Rosie barks all the time! Boone takes her toy, she barks. She doesn't get the treat fast enough, she barks. The cat looks at her the wrong way, she barks.

Here's a little reminder I found when researching how to adjust to a second dog:

I've needed to read that, like, every day.
